Project Progress

Excited to share progress on a major renovation and extension of a former bungalow, transforming it into a contemporary five-bedroom family home.

Working with the existing sloped site has been central to the design approach. Rather than fighting the topography, the proposal embraces it, stepping the accommodation, maximising natural light, and creating strong connections between the internal living spaces and the surrounding landscape.

The scheme reimagines the original bungalow footprint, introducing a generous extension that delivers open-plan family living at ground level, with carefully positioned bedrooms offering privacy and elevated views. Clean lines, a restrained material palette, and framed glazing give the home a confident contemporary character while remaining sensitive to its setting.

Beyond the design, this project has required careful coordination and site management, balancing structural interventions within the existing building, integrating new services, and maintaining programme momentum.

It’s great to see the steady progress on site over the past few months. The transformation is really starting to take shape, and you can clearly see the vision coming together.

Looking forward to sharing further updates as the build continues.
